Pearl Ee grew up in a small town in Sarawak and spent much of her childhood climbing trees, catching frogs, raising tadpoles and exploring the jungle. In her early twenties, she moved to Australia to study and subsequently pursued a career as a nurse. After working in a cardiology unit for several years, Pearl felt she needed a change so she moved back home to Sarawak. Soon after returning home, her love for nature was rekindled. She is currently working on a degree in biology at the University of Science Malaysia.
